Architectural spaces in J\u00e1vea<\/h1>\n

J\u00e1vea is a town located on the Costa Blanca in Alicante that has had different influences from various civilisations, which is why we can observe the work of architects in J\u00e1vea<\/a> during all the years of its history as we walk through its streets. The architectural richness that this has left implicit in many of the corners of this Villa. For this reason we would like to tell you a few things about the most outstanding architectural spaces in J\u00e1vea, which you will find below.<\/p>\n

J\u00e1vea Market<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Mercat Municipal de J\u00e1vea, which has been open to the public for 75 years, is architecturally rich. It is a building in the Levantine Gothic style that was built shortly after the end of the Civil War in 1943 on the site of a former 17th century convent. The structure itself has changed a lot from its construction to the present day. Many of the stalls and traders of the municipality are no longer to be found today, but also in the beginning the roof of this municipal market of J\u00e1vea was made of reed, nowadays the roof is made of tosca arches, a typical stone of the cape of San Antonio. The former concrete floor is not in the same condition either, it has been upgraded and upgraded.<\/p>\n

San Bartolom\u00e9 Church in J\u00e1vea<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The location of the Church of San Bartolom\u00e9 is right in the historic centre of J\u00e1vea\/X\u00e1bia, in the church square itself. Architecturally, the building is in the Elizabethan Gothic style, with a magnificent Gothic nave with three chapels on each side. These chapels on each side are framed by buttresses. This National Historic-Artistic Monument since 1931 and considered an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) has 2 entrances.<\/p>\n

The main entrance is in medieval style with a pointed arch, gable and pinnacles, and is dedicated to Saint Bartholomew. Then we find the side door dedicated to San Gil.<\/p>\n

Historic centre of J\u00e1vea<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The historic quarter of J\u00e1vea is made up of different streets and emblematic and historic places of this town in Alicante. Starting from the church square and observing the aforementioned church of San Bartolom\u00e9, you can walk along the defensive walls.<\/p>\n

The current historic centre of J\u00e1vea originated when the inhabitants who lived closer to the coast decided to leave their houses and move 2km inland to avoid the constant attacks by pirates and corsairs.
