A stroll through the beautiful narrow streets to the charming church square, the \u2018Plaza de la Iglesia\u2019  <\/span><b>Church Square<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2018is almost a must on every trip. Unique here is the landscape with the numerous white village houses which are characteristic for Altea. <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On a stroll through the narrow cobbled streets, you will discover something beautiful around every corner. You can do some shopping in one of the  <\/span>many craft shops, numerous excellent restaurants, and always incredible viewpoints from which you can enjoy breathtaking coastal views. <\/p>\n<h2><b>Our Lady of Consolation<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the most beautiful attractions of Altea is the church \u2018<\/span><b>Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Consuelo\u2019.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ook bekend als \u2018Iglesia de Arriba\u2019. Hier zijn de prachtige koepels gemaakt van blauwe bakstenen, die het stadsbeeld van veraf bepalen.  <\/span> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10701 \" src=\"https:\/\/vellomonfortarquitectes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/iglesia-altea-1-min-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Altea Church - Our Lady of Consolation\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The church is also worth seeing from the inside and can be visited<\/span> <b>free of charge<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> during opening hours.
