Nowadays, the use given to this former station is completely different, as throughout the year this old building temporarily exhibits works by artists from all over the country. <\/span><\/p>\n

Toy Museum located in the Art Centre of the former station<\/h2>\n

This old station has become the local Art Centre, becoming one of the most important places in D\u00e9nia, located in Calder\u00f3n Street. <\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the year you can visit various interesting exhibitions of great artists. But one of the fixed exhibitions at the Art Centre is the Toy Museum, located on the first floor of the building. This museum compiles the old toy industry during the 20th century in the municipality of Denia. This, and other municipalities in the Marina Alta area, used to produce toys and many of the locals made their living from this industry, hence the importance given to the museum which displays toys of the period and the industry. In this exhibition you will be able to see toys from 1904 onwards, some of them made of metal and especially wood. <\/span><\/p>\n

It was in those years when the creation of wooden toys began, which would end up characterising the typical D\u00e9nia toy, reaching great popularity among users and children. In this part of the Centre d’Art l’Estaci\u00f3 you can see the typical sailing boats, horse-drawn carriages, trucks, bowling, the famous game of rings and much more. It is really a lovely museum to visit all year round. <\/span><\/p>\n

Coordination of the D\u00e9nia Art Centre<\/h2>\n

This exhibition centre is coordinated by the Department of Archaeology and Heritage of the D\u00e9nia Town Council. <\/span><\/p>\n

\"Rear<\/p>\n

The Centre d’Art l’Estaci\u00f3 is considered an emblematic building in D\u00e9nia. To the rear there is a pedestrian section with gardens and a children’s playground. This section is located in La V\u00eda street. One of the many outstanding buildings related to the architecture of D\u00e9nia<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Depending on the time of year its opening hours may vary, but generally the building is open from Monday to Sunday.
