In which situations is a certificate of habitability required?

There is a difference between the certificate of habitability and the cédula de habitabilidad, as the former is a prerequisite for obtaining the latter. Therefore, in order to apply for the cédula de habitabilidad, the body or town hall responsible for processing and approval will ask for the corresponding certificate of habitability.
